Margaret Laurie-Abramo was born in Gloucester and early in life came to love the sights, sounds and smell of the sea. She works outdoors whenever possible, in her favorite medium : watercolor. She is a member of many art associations including:

North Shore Arts Association
Rockport Arts Association
and is Local Colors' newest member!

She has painted all over the world, travelling with her husband, and has exhibited in numerous galleries throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic. She has received many awards for her work which hangs in public and private collections throughout the United States and abroad. Margaret's work has also been published in three international books; Best of Watercolor 2 & 3 and A Gallery of Marine Art. In addition to her work, Margaret's other natural ability is demonstrating and teaching watercolor.
